Roberto Clemente was the first Latin American MLB superstar. His talent on the fields were only overshadowed by his humanitarian efforts. On December 31, 1972, Clemente’s plane crashed while delivering humanitarian aid to Nicaragua just one mile off his native home of Puerto Rico.
